1) HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY ALL!! Yes, this is belated, and yes, most of the people with whom we tend to interact are not the *biggest* Valentine's Fanatics. I believe the words "Consumer-Driven Holiday" have even been heard on occasion from many of our friends...and yet, this little family LOVES chocolate. Most of the time we will take it in any form, as long as it's in large amounts, and thus Valentine's Day works out great for us! This year, Matt had a Basketball Game on the evening of Valentine's Day...the 13th Ward (Matt's Team) vs. the Pacific Beach Singles Ward. This may actually explain why the men on the opposing team are still single.
Short Note to the PB Ward: Do not actually attend the basketball game scheduled for Valentine's Day. Instead, take out a NICE MORMON GAL and have a night of expensive, forced romance!
Alas, this was not to be and so Matt's team had their VERY FIRST FAN of the whole season packaged up in the form of one very good-looking little lady named KELLY! This will never happen again, so it's a good thing that they played their big 'ol hearts out and ticked off another win for the 13th Ward B-Team. Matt did make up for the basketball snafu by taking his dear wife for Brunch AND a Massage the following Saturday morning, and it was more than divine. Although if left unchecked, Kelly may come to expect this every Saturday...better watch out Matty!
In our hometown of Carmichael we managed to STUMBLE across a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home on half-an-acre for the mere cost of $230,000! WHAT?!?! That is literally the cost of some bathtubs down here in San Diego. Needless to say, we immediately looked into acquiring this little beauty and were unfortunately snaked at the last moment by someone who is obviously more awesome at house-buying than we are. Then again, the downside is that this home is ALSO approximately 530 miles away from where we actually reside in La Jolla, California. Nuances!
So sorry that there is not more to report from La Jolla Colony, as it HAS been nearly a month. Unfortunately both Matt and Kelly are really, truly not all that interesting. The good news is that the month of March is Travel Season for this family and what with all of our good-looking friends and family in various destinations, I think there may be more than a few fabulous pictures to post soon!

1. You don't want to go to Mexico City unless you have armed vehicles.
2. You had better stay put in SD a bit longer
3. I also hate valentines day
4. I also hate PB ward.
hahaha just kidding, but isn't odd that your ward still played? ours canceled.
Please tell me that Boise is on your list of must see cities for march??? Cmon, I mean we do have a spare room at my parents house and everything! Im sorry your house got sniped out from under you - we had that happen and i was LIVID!
Well I hope by some odd miracle you and matt can come see us someday. Maybe when this baby is on the outside, and we have a house of our own. Then we could stay up all night eating bad things and reminiscing of our times together on 'cheerio row' at church. ahh sweet memories
kay, that house is so cute. i'm sad you didn't get it, and such a deal! i love the look of houses in sac so much better than in UT. they all look like little cottages. the houses here all have vinyl siding or stucco, which i don't love. oh well.
where are you guys going in march? it's always so fun to get out, and visit family especially! if you come to UT, let me know and we can do lunch or dinner or something!
House hunting? You guys are hilarious. It was a darling house, too. :) It was fun to get an update. Where are you headed in March?
Matt and Kelly ARE interesting people, and the Wuest Family loves reading about them! Sorry you didn't get the house. We can't wait until you come to Sac in a couple of weeks! Talk to you soon!
dang! i should have called you and maybe you guys could have come up and played at disneyland with us. do you guys have season passes? of course, you probably had to do something silly, like go to work. :) next time maybe. if you ever need a place to crash in the bay area, give us ring!
oh and how do you know damon and jessica mortensen? i know them too.
Hi! I saw your blog listing on Maren Crickmore's blog. I love the Mario Brothers background! I am sorry to hear about you losing that super cute house, but I am selfishly glad that you will be staying in our ward.

UPDATE YOUR BLOG DAMMIT !! im knocked up and unemployed..i need the entertainment!
Kelly, it was so fun to get to know you a little better at the church b-ball game, even though our team sort of took a beating:) I can't believe the cost of the house you posted 3 bedrooms for such a low cost, simply unbelievable! It makes me think twice about living in San Diego pemanently! So...I think we should get together sometime and have a doubles math in Tennis, it would be super fun! I hope you have a great Easter weekend!
