Run or Dye!

This past weekend a few of my girlfriends and I participated in a super fun (and super colorful!) race at Qualcomm Stadium called Run or Dye!

This was at the STARTING line!

We started off by chucking our race-provided color packets at each other before we ran, "just to get a little color"...well we had no idea how much color we would have by the end!

To give you the full picture at various points along the 3.1 mile course we would intermittently run through color stations where race coordinators were throwing really fine, colored chalk all over us - it was such a fun mess! Pink, purple, green, blue, and yellow chalk showered down on us...and smelled like baby powder which was actually sorta gross!

Mid-way through the run everyone looked pretty identical - like a bunch of pink-hued cartoon characters.  The funniest thing happened when we stopped for water around the 2 mile marker and ran into our friend Kaci!  Out of the thousands of people in the race, we end up finding our friend! At that point, I think her face says it all...

By far the best thing about the race for me was that we all managed to stay together, run the whole thing together, and had fun doing it!  By the end we looked a little worse for wear, but it was honestly such a blast and I can hardly wait to do something fun like this again!

It took about three showers and some super-scrubbing to get this all out of my hair and skin but it was well worth it...I would recommend this fun run to anyone.
