Its been awhile...

There is REALLY too much to tell! In our family there is a period of time from just before Christmas through the New Year where the blog is hijacked by the Woodland Pigskin Pick 'ems Elves (or Elf??).  It happens every year without fail, and I honestly have no real issue with this.  Our immediate and extended family love insane competition and the Pick 'Ems really are a labor of love on Matt's part. Afterall, isn't it often said that the "Family that Gambles together"...wait...how does that go again??  Either way, this highly competitive labor of love happens to take over the blog during the season when all of the family gets together and all of the good pictures are taken!

That said, here is a small glimpse into what the Woodland's have done over the past two months give or take a few weeks...

Matt and I 'Ran to Feed the Hungry' on Thanksgiving Day and then followed that up with an absolutely DELICIOUS dinner at the Woodland household.  I believe Sacramento may be our Turkey-Day destination for the next few years to come!
Isn't Matt soooo cute!

Christmas followed with the installation of our Brand New Fireplace
(Ummm...heat in 1080p??)

We had a very low key Christmas and decided to stay in San Diego through the New Year.  My sister Megan and "her friend" Jeff, on the other hand, celebrated with a campout in Pasadena, CA.
 (Goooooo BUCKS!!)

Which was preceded by a break-of-dawn marriage proposal!
(Nice work Jeffer! Welcome to the family!!)

My brother, Clark, also decided to forgo the trudge to California during the holidays and instead opted for a belated trip West in late January.  It was good to see him, and even better that he brought Stephanie!!
(She's so cool...I will even let it go that she is dating CLARK!!)

A couple of highlights from the Mikulecky visits included lots of yummy family meals...
(Yes, that IS Meggy planning her wedding at the Breakfast Table!)

We hit up the Delta King in the beautiful Sacramento Delta...
(Cute Cute Family)

And no family visit would be complete without the requisite sibling argument over Christmas gifts!
My sweet Stepmom bought Clark this Rose Bowl Sweatshirt because his favorite team, The Oregon Ducks, made it in. Well, needless to say Megan (the former Buckeye) thought it was a GREAT gift!! Somehow Clark managed to leave it behind when he headed back to Virginia! Wonder why??

We had a fantastic Holiday Season and the New Year has been amazing also. We have our health, our happiness, great friends, and wonderful family.  Couldn't ask for more...
Many blessings to everyone!
