What do you get when you combine multiple frozen yogurt flavors with a smattering of tasty toppers?? YOGURT WORLD!!!For those of you who don't know, Kelly is a frozen yogurt-addict to the tune of needing a "Yogurt-Eaters Anonymous" support group. Frozen yogurt is more of an invested pastime than a simple food to be enjoyed. Here in San Diego there are MANY of these little places that are constantly competing (price wise...WOO HOO!) for yogurt-business. The standard for the Woodland Fam has become Yogurt Express in La Mesa, but quite frankly the 25-mile trek is simply too far for this family to drive every time a Yogurt Fix hits.
Enter Yogurt World.
Upon entering this brightly lit, yet comfortable little shop on Convoy in Clairemont Mesa, we were greeted with a plethora of Yogurt Flavors ranging from "Tart Green Tea" all the way to the old favorites like "Chocolate Malt". This was all fine and dandy, and the yogurt DID taste delicious, but the best was yet to come...TOPPINGS!!!
As Kelly has long pointed out, the only thing really missing with most yogurt shops is the lack of healthy fruit toppings on hand. Not so with Yogurt World. In addition to the standard offerings of Nuts, M&M's, Reese's Pieces, and Chocolate Chips we were greeted by Cheesecake Bites, Cookie Dough, four different syrups, and many MANY of these:

REAL FRUIT!!!
And NOT the kind of fruit that just came out of a can where it sat on a shelf for the past three and a half years marinading in high-fructose corn syrup (YUCK). In fact, freshly sliced bananas, kiwi, and strawberries dressed up Kelly's yogurt so beautifully it was almost painful to mar with the first dip of a spoon. Despite all odds, Matt and Kelly managed to overcome this small obstacle and finished off their respective yogurts in record time all for under $5.oo.
In the end, Kelly would recommend Yogurt World to any yogurt fellow yogurt fanatic with emphatic accolades.
