Yes...That is Kelly crying.
We recently took yet another trip to good 'ol Disneyland (site of our last family vacation) to celebrate the Day of Veterans. With nary a Veteran in sight, Matt and Kelly joined forces with the Scott family once again to wend our way through the Earth's Happiest Place. Boy, were we ever jaded in accepting this All-American tag line as truth!
Upon arriving at the Indiana Jones Ride (which has been a recurrent disappointment to our family over the past few years due to it's inability to ever be in WORKING ORDER!!) we were delighted to see the Temple of Doom operating smoothly...well as smoothly as doomed temples run, I suppose. It was all a hoax!
The first clue that we were in fact the doomed ones should have come when although the "Line-Time Estimator" assured us that we would be spelunking and cavorting alongside Indy in approximately 25 minutes, we were still awaiting our turn to clamber into a rusty old jeep approximately 55 minutes later. We found ourselves deep within the dank darkness of a Disney-manufactured abyss with not even a streak of sunlight to indicate safe exit.
But no, it was at the point when we had been safely categorized into our seating lanes and had sufficiently prepared ourselves for the "Adventure of the Century" (or at least the adventure of that part of the day) for a consecutive two-hours that the bottom fell out.
Without warning, well-hidden floodlights cast their blinding aura over the entirety of the "Cavern" and an ominous voice told us to "please stay calm and seated as the Disney Resort Staff escorts you toward the exits"
WHAT!!!
Adults and Children alike cried out at the travesty (okay, that was just Jared and Matt) their dreams of retrieving the Stolen Idol suddenly dashed forever!
This would turn out only to be a day for and Indy-Sized Mis-Adventure.
In the end we found out why they "named the dog Indiana!"

That's no fun! I would cry too, Kelly. Going to Disneyland is the best once you have kids b/c then you get stroller passes and can ride without a wait. Look what you get to look forward to:)
Hee...you look so sad in that picture. Poor Kel!
I love this story...sorry Kelly!
