Labor Day of LOVE!

This past Labor Day Monday must officially go down in the record books for the largest group of attractive people to ever congregate at the La Jollan Townhomes Pool!

Now, Matt and I naturally feel as if we have set what could be considered an unattainably high standard of attractiveness for our condo complex, but the glass ceiling on this standard was easily obliterated with the arrival of our first guests, Rob and Melissa Atkinson who were freshly tanned from their own recent trip to Maui.

A steady stream of friends arrived and we had soon taken over the whole pool area with a fantastic group including the "soon to be" Norums, the Smith Family, Matt and Lacy Seamons, the Circuits, and Craig, Landon, Mel, and Ryan it became clear that the we have chosen our friends wisely...everyone was having too much fun! The La Jollan Townhomes Individual Medley Record was officially broken that day by our very own Matt Seamons, but the Grilling and Baking award would be taken by another man of strength, wisdom, and grace...Matthew Woodland.

As the long, hot day wore on Burgers, Chicken, Steak, and Hot Dogs were grilled on constant rotation by our very own personal short order cook. Everyone got full...and then some! But wait...there was more to come! The crowning jewel, a "Skookie", was brought forth by the Grill Master himself at the end of the day!! Everyone (Jack included!) was more than happy to dig-in to the gooey Chocolate Chip cookie topped with Vanilla Bean ice cream...and we collectively put down two panfuls in approximately 2 minutes.

And so it was on that fateful day the Land Speed Skookie Eating record was set at the Woodland house by all of our dear friends...another one to write down in the books!
