Travellin' U-Tah Style...minus the Socks with Sandals

As promised, we took lots of pictures this past month of March...mainly because we got to see so many awesome people this past month!!!

Matt and I decided to throw caution to the wind and schedule a 7-day VACATION (yes, you may not recognize this word right off the bat if, like us, you have not indulged in one for awhile) to Utah. The land of our forefathers and posterity AND the land of *most* of our beloved family and friends at this point!! Seriously, Californians are dropping off to Utah like FLIES! Once we got there, though, we couldn't blame them.

Here are a few highlights:
Cool Cat Jayden, just like "Uncle MATT!"
He's so cute, he makes Aunt Kelly look bad!

Spending time with this guy was a HUGE highlight of the trip since it had been almost a year since our last meeting! Alicia and Daren make great-looking babies. Fortunately there will be another one come June!

Next on the Utah Agenda, LOTS of time was invested in playing catch-up with our brilliant Friends:
We found a very "interesting" store and some super-yummy cinnamon rolls in American "The Fark" Fork with Dave and Mindy!

Bryce took us to "1-800-CONTACTS" Lunch...

AND Nealson's Frozen Custard...which nearly tops Golden Spoon. Hey now, I said NEARLY!

The Gorgeous Smith Family managed to choke down some Art City Trolley (Matt's old BYU serving gig) Thankfully, seeing Mark and Deidra managed to make the cockroach-infested cuisine more bearable.

As much fun as playing catch-up was, we actually took a day for ourselves and took to running all over Greater Utah (well at least the parts that we deemed "visitable")

First Came Sundance where the snow was plentiful and so was the SUN for the first time all week!
Then we swooped in to Park City where I got to snuggle up to lots of indigenous wildlife including a Moose, a Bear......and of course my Husband! After Park City we were a bit tired and the picture-taking ceased for the day.

There is TONS more vacation drama to divulge, and now you have seen about 5 minutes of the first 3 days of our vacation. Do not fret, all the action will be revealed in subsequent posts...just know that Utah is more than just a vacation. It's a way of life.

Lots of Love to you all from the Wandering Woodlands!

It looks like you guys had so much fun! The fun pics of Sundance and Park City definitely made me homesick for snowboarding! However, I can't complain about the perfect San Diego weather!

What a fun trip. Is Dave Carruth married? I haven't seen him for like 5 years. It is hard to beat so cal weather, but it is nice for a change every once and a while.

Woodland Friends - Firstly, it was awesome to see you both. Secondly, I'm praying that the whole of California falls into the blue ocean and you two move yourselves back here to Utah.

Wow Dave is still alive huh? It was good to see him (via picture). On your next Utah adventure, tell him I say hello.
