A Wood-Lecky Thanksgiving...

The Woodland Family was so graciously visited by Kelly's Dad and his wife, Cindy over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was a super fun-fest, with the main event being the food (of course!) and family.
In an attempt at equality of food-stuffs, Kelly sent out a pre-Thanksgiving email to all involved asking for their FAVORITE T-Day cuisine. The responses were varied, but for the most part unaltered from the normal Thanksgiving fare:
  • Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
  • Rolls
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Stuffing
  • etc. etc.

That was until Matt sent out his request.

A direct email quote reads, "I like Barbecue Chicken Pizza with my Football watching. C'mon guys, pizza and football??" to which everyone replied with a resounding "SOUNDS GREAT!!!" You see, not one Woodland or Mikulecky Family Member ever even muttered the word which defines the day. That one celebratory word Turkey had been left out of all correspondence and culinary desires, which left us without an entree for our feast! Well, Matt had just solved this little quandry we found ourselves in!

The following depict our delicious fest of flavors:

Starters, Salad, and Salaciousness...

The Requisite Stuffing (a la Cindy, made with love just for Kelly!!)

Meggy's Patent Wreath-y Deliciousness (dresses up nice for ANY occasion, but especially neccesary at Thanksgiving!)

In lieu of Turkey (At Left: Vegetarian pizza, at Right: BBQ Chicken)

Needless to say, all the Woodl-ecky Family Members were kept happy, and with no riots to report this year....it's simply a shame that there is no documentation of the S'Mores cookout that took place that evening!

Hope everyone else had as much fun as we did this Thanksgiving!
