As mentioned in the last post, the Woodland Family had quite the weekend! And NO venture to the greater Los Angeles area could possily be complete without a requisite trip to Disneyland...which is exactly what Kelly got Matt for their Anniversary!
We are lucky enough to have the Scott Family, Jared and Betsy, who live just down the road from Disneyland, and who have SEASON PASSES to Disneyland who graciously acted as our own personal tour guides for the day. It's amazing how much easier maneuvering the Wonderful World of Disney is when you have a person like Jared Scott (a season ticket holder for the past 17 years...we did the math) to see your way through!
By 10:00 on Monday morning we had sought our way through Downtown Disney, fought our way to the perfect parking spot in the new Mickey and Friends parking garage, and were walking down Mainstreet America to the first morning sounds of crying babies and screaming children...it was GLORIOUS!
We have found in the past that Disneyland is in it's prime during October and November. The crowds get smaller, the lines get shorter, and without the summer heat of Anaheim, it's like a day in the park!! This Columbus Day was no different, and it's Halloween time to boot!
Kelly, who loves anything "holiday", was in heaven with the gigantic Candy Corn and Massive Pumpkins lining the streets and decorating New Orleans Square.
By far the best was the Haunted Mansion which is decorated all up in Nightmare Before Christmas paraphernalia...SOOO COOOL!!! Jack Skellington was everywhere, and if you ever want to get in the late Halloween/early Christmas Spirit, this ride is the way to go!
There is literally never a time when Disneyland isn't fantastic, but this trip was one of our best!!
Don't hesitate to visit and come see The Magic Kingdom with us...
because, remember, "It's a Small World Afterall !!"

I'm still waiting for Matt to go to the back of the line.
